Special Issue on Food Politics, Policy and Culture

 

Food Politics are the political aspects of the production, control, regulation, inspection, distribution and consumption of food. The politics can be affected by the ethical, cultural, medical and environmental disputes concerning proper farming, agricultural and retailing methods and regulations. The goal of this special issue is to Exploring claims, controversies, positions, interests and values connected with food.

 

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring food politics, policy and culture. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

 

  • The political economy of food
  • Food supply, transportation and storage
  • Food prices inflation and food scarcity
  • Farm law and public financing
  • Hunger and poverty
  • Fair trade
  • Consumer taste
  • The cultures of the table
  • Food advertising and food media
  • Food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Animal rights and welfare initiatives
  • Malnutrition and international food programs

 

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

 

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Food Politics, Policy and Culture” should be selected during your submission.
