Special Issue on Gifted Children and Gifted Education

Gifted and talented education dates back thousands of years. Gifted individuals possess outstanding natural intellectual, physical, creative or social abilities. Importantly, gifted children and young people may or may not be high achievers – while they may have outstanding potential they can be disengaged and under-achieve.

In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to contribute original research and review articles on gifted children and gifted education. The topics to be covered by this special issue include, but are not limited to:

  • The role of memory in reading
  • Gifted children and language development
  • Identifying giftedness and intelligence
  • Understanding educational policies
  • Different perspectives on the term "Gifted"
  • Describing methods for grade and subject acceleration
  • Enriching programs to ensure that children reach their potential

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Gifted Children and Gifted Education should be chosen during your submission.
