ABSTRACT: The article aims to outline the role and ways of developing the emotional intelligence of primary school children. The effectiveness of the development of a child’s emotional intelligence depends on the formation of the emotional competence of the primary school teacher. The factors influencing the development of a child’s emotional intelligence include: teacher’s vulnerability, comfortable classroom atmosphere, quality of communication with peers, and positive activities. In order to develop the emotional intelligence of primary school children, there is a need to include such creative pedagogical technologies in the educational process: dramatization of the plot of the work with elements of acting, conditional transformation, plastic miniatures, pantomime improvisation, improvised imitations, enactment, stage performance of stories, fairy tales, songs, images and plots of paintings, theatricalization using acting and a set of attributes.
