ABSTRACT: This study aimed to identify the level of
psychological immunity of 12th-grade students. It also endeavors to identify differences in the level of such
immunity grades according to the variables of sex and track (scientific or
literary) of the students. The study also aims at identifying differences in
the level of their test anxiety according to the same variables. To identify
the level of the relationship between psychological immunity and test anxiety
the sample was targeted as well. The
researchers followed the descriptive approach. To achieve the objectives
of the study, a questionnaire was used as an instrument to elicit data from a
sample of the study that consisted of 500 male and female students, 12th-grade
students in the city of Sulaymaniyah-Iraq for the academic year (2020-2021).
The participants were chosen by stratified random method. As for the
instrument, the psychological immunity scale consisted of (36) items, and the
test anxiety scale of (29) items. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The results
show that the most prominent was that the students of the twelfth preparatory
stage had psychological immunity and that differences were noticed in their
psychological immunity according to gender and in favor of males. It also
concluded that there are differences in the students’ psychological immunity
according to the academic tracks and in favor of the scientific branch. The
results also were positive in terms of test anxiety with both genders. However,
there are statistically significant differences in test anxiety according to
their tracks and in favor of the literary branch. Finally, the results of the
research showed a very strong inverse correlation between psychological
immunity and test anxiety.
