Abstract: This paper proposes an efficient adaptive artificial immune system with two swarms (AAIS-2S) for optimization. In the AAIS-2S, the candidate antibodies is separated into two swarms, i.e., elitist swarm (ES) and common swarm (CS). Antibodies in the ES experience self-learning while ones in the CS experience elitist-learning. And the adjustment of antibodies between the two swarms is achieved by a pre-designed dynamic swarm updating strategy. Some comparative numerical simulations are arranged to evaluate the performance of the proposed AAIS-2S. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed AAIS-2S outperforms the canonical opt-aiNet and the IA-AIS in convergence speed and solution accuracy.
