The poverty measurement is the foundation of the study on the poverty and the result of poverty measurement directly affect the poverty problem solving. The paper compared several methods from one dimension to the Multidimensional Poverty Measurement and did an empirical analysis. The conclusion is: the poverty line method is suitable for poverty comparison among countries; FGT index is suitable for poverty comparison among areas and A-F model pay attention to the multidimensional poverty measurement and it is suitable for a local city or rural poverty measurement. This method may find out the causes for poverty, which is useful to formulate a scientific anti-poverty countermeasure.
