Abstract:	The characteristic parameters of fly ash were studied by using Setaram calorimeter, DCAT21 contract angle gauge, surface tension apparatus as well as scanning electron microscopy. Batch flotation tests were carried out. The results show that the carbon content in fly ash can be lowered to 9.43% or so.
