Abstract: The current situation and associated problems of development and utilization of mineral resources in Yulin, Guangxi province are summarized in this paper. Considering the theory of sustainable development, here we propose some countermeasures and suggestions for transition from the resource superiority to the economic superiority in this area, by increasing investment in geological exploration, strengthening environmental protection, deepening reform and renovating mining administration system etc.
