Abstract: The sintering process is an important step of iron and steel making. More than 90% heat will be provided with the combustion of fuel in the sintering process. It is significant for the efficient using of fuel and to reduce the emission of CO2 which to reduce solid fuel consumption in sintering process. Base on the research and analysis with the mechanism of sinter and the heat cumulating in sintering process with a series of tests of higher bed sintering, the effect for reducing the solid fuel rate were elaborated further with the low temperature and higher bed sintering techniques.
