Abstract: The solid phase reaction of Baiyunebo Iron ore which contains K element in the form of complex silicate and aluminosilicate was studied by means of differential thermal analysis (DTA) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) in this paper. At the same time, the experiments focus on the initial products and starting temperature of solid phase reaction. The results find that CaF2 can involve in reaction which generate 3CaO·2SiO2·CaF2, fiercely inhibiting the formation of complex calcium ferrite. It could promote the formation of SFCA in the process of Baiyunebo iron ore sintering for Baotou Iron and Steel company by adopting high basicity sintering, lowering the content of gangue containing F and K、Na in Baiyunebo iron ore or adding appropriate outside iron ore which contains free style SiO2、Al2O3 gangue.
