Special Issue on Foods and Public Health
Foods and
Public Health focuses on the critical interconnections between dietary
patterns, food systems, and population health outcomes in both developed and
developing contexts. It aims to advance interdisciplinary research addressing
malnutrition in all its forms, diet-related non-communicable diseases, food
safety, nutritional epidemiology, and health equity. The issue welcomes
empirical studies, policy analyses, community-based interventions, and
innovative methodologies that examine food environments, sustainable diets,
food security, and regulatory frameworks influencing public health. By
integrating perspectives from nutrition science, epidemiology, public health
policy, food technology, and social sciences, this special issue seeks to
provide evidence-based insights that inform effective strategies for improving
dietary behaviors, strengthening food systems, and promoting long-term
population health and well-being.
