ABSTRACT: With the rapid development of rail transit systems, a multi-level integrated rail transit network consisting of trunk railways, intercity railways, suburban railways, and urban rail transit has taken shape in metropolitan areas and megacities (abbreviated as “Four-Network Integration”). Different types of rail transit vary in service scope and operational characteristics. Taking the rail transit in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as the research object, this paper explores the composition of the multi-level rail transit system, the classification of interconnected operation modes, as well as their advantages and disadvantages, aiming to provide reference for the interconnected operation of rail transit.
