ABSTRACT: Facing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the education system
of Ivory Coast has initiated media education as a response to the school
closure. That teaching approach is based on traditional media such as radio and
television on the one hand, and new technologies of communication and information
such as computer and the internet in the other hand. Considering the advantages
of media education as an emergency device, this study shows that it has proved
to be a relevant educational alternative to the conventional education system
of Ivory Coast. Therefore the study suggests a school resilience plan including
media education at curricular, environment and resources management levels.
