ABSTRACT: Purpose: To report a case of a pediatric corneal limbal dermoid with eyelashes and
to describe post-operative changes after excision with reconstruction using amniotic
membrane grafting, sutures and fibrinogen-thrombin glue. Case Report: One pediatric
patient was identified with a grade II infratemporal corneal-limbal dermoid with
conjunctival eyelashes. The dermoid was surgically excised and the cornea reconstructed
with amniotic membrane using sutures and fibrinogen/thrombin glue. Preoperative
and postoperative measurement of astigmatism, anisometropia and presence
of exposure keratopathy were performed.
