ABSTRACT: This paper regards the opening
of high-speed railways as a “quasi-experiment”, using the DID model with two-way fixed effects of economic data from
various districts and counties in Guangxi from 2010 to 2016, and finds that the opening of high-speed railways in Guangxi
has generally promoted high-speed railway
stations. The economic growth of districts and counties, and this effect is increasing
with the increase in the opening time; secondly, the high-speed rail has
significantly promoted the economic growth in the western Guangxi region and the Beibu Gulf
region, with strong regional heterogeneity; thirdly, the high-speed rail. The impact also has industrial differences, and its
promotion to the economy is mainly reflected in the secondary industry.
