ABSTRACT: While previously unknown in the Nigerian criminal system, Plea bargain has come to stay with the establishment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission whose duty is to investigate and prosecute financial offenders. This papers seeks to establish the relationship between Plea-Bargain and Mediation as an alternative dispute resolution method and to advocate for a more developed system of plea bargain system in Nigeria.
