ABSTRACT: Crystallization behavior of Cu(II) complexes of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) has been studied. Mixing of Cu(II) and L-leucine in solution caused immediate precipitation of Cu(II)-L-Leu complex, while no precipitants were obtained when L-Val or L-Ile were used as ligands. These results are discussed based on structure differences among the precipitants.
