ABSTRACT: Reparative granuloma in the oval window region is an uncommon complication of stapes surgery, which usually develops within one to eight weeks after operation and causes a sudden hearing loss and disturbance of balance. It may also cause otalgia. Because of its rarity, no single centre would be able to give conclusive evidence regarding this complication. Hence we would like to report our experience and hope to get a better understanding regarding the stapes surgery induced granulation.
