Family Relations, Parental Roles, and Social Development

Family Relations, Parental Roles, and Social Development examines how interpersonal dynamics within families shape individual behavior, emotional well-being, and societal outcomes across the lifespan. This field explores patterns of communication, caregiving practices, cultural influences, and the evolving roles of parents in guiding children’s cognitive, emotional, and social growth. By integrating perspectives from psychology, sociology, education, and human development, it seeks to understand how family structures, parenting styles, and community environments collectively influence social competence, resilience, and long-term development. Ultimately, research in this area aims to promote healthier family interactions, support positive child and adolescent development, and strengthen social cohesion.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Family Relations, Parental Roles, and Social Development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
