Special Issue on Gender, Identity, and Literary
Analysis
Gender, Identity, and Literary Analysis
explores how literature reflects, constructs, and challenges ideas of gender
and identity. This field examines the representation of masculinity,
femininity, and non-binary identities in literary texts, considering how
cultural, historical, and social contexts shape these portrayals. Through
feminist criticism, queer theory, and intersectional approaches, scholars analyze
characters, narratives, and language to uncover power dynamics, biases, and
resistance within literature. By deconstructing traditional gender roles and
highlighting diverse identities, this analysis fosters a deeper understanding
of literature’s role in shaping and questioning societal norms.
