Special Issue on Diabetes Management and Therapy
Diabetes Management and Therapy focuses on
controlling blood sugar levels to prevent complications associated with both
Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. It involves a combination of lifestyle modifications,
including diet management, physical activity, and medication, with a strong
emphasis on personalized care. Insulin therapy plays a key role in Type 1
diabetes, while Type 2 diabetes can often be managed with oral medications,
lifestyle changes, and in some cases, insulin injections. Emerging treatments
like continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), artificial pancreas systems, and
digital health tools are enhancing the precision of management. By focusing on
preventing complications and maintaining overall well-being, effective diabetes
therapy helps individuals lead healthy lives despite the condition.
