Special Issue on Microbial Biodegradation
Biodegradation is the process of
cleaning and reducing contamination with xenobiotics in the environment by
means of bacterial biogeochemical processes. When microorganisms bring about
the breakdown of polymers, they are called microbial biodegradation. Microbial
biodegradation and biotransformation reactions are essential to most
bioremediation processes.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Microbial Biodegradation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Degradation characteristics and mechanisms
-
Degradation process
-
Biodegradable materials
-
Microbial biodegradation of waste
-
Biological technologies
-
Synthesis and degradation
-
Metabolic degradation
-
Anaerobic biodegradation
-
Phytoremediation
-
Soil bioremediation
-
Oil biodegradation
-
Emerging and eco-friendly approaches
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Microbial
Biodegradation” should be chosen during your submission.
