Special Issue on Computer Vision and
Applications
Computer vision is an
interdisciplinary field that deals with how computers can be made to gain
high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of
engineering, it seeks to automate tasks that the human visual system can do. Pattern
recognition is the automated
recognition of patterns and regularities in data.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Computer Vision and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Computer vision and pattern recognition
-
Intelligent image processing
-
Image segmentation and classification
-
Image and vision computing
-
Statistical computer vision
-
Machine learning in computer vision
-
Object recognition and detection
-
Tracking, detection and segmentation
-
Visual motion estimation
-
Facial expression recognition
-
Robot and machine vision
-
3D imaging, processing and modelling
-
Embedded computer vision
-
Combined image and language understanding
-
Computational intelligence in biomedical imaging
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Computer Vision and
Applications” should be chosen during your submission.
