Special Issue on Psychosocial Oncology

Psychosocial oncology is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of physical, psychological, social, and behavioral aspects of the cancer experience for both patients and caregivers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Psychosocial Oncology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Depression and anxiety in cancer patients
  • Psychosocial intervention and treatment
  • Positive psychological reactions
  • Adaptive coping behaviors
  • Behavior modification, cancer risk and prevention
  • Social support and care
  • Psychosocial treatment models
  • Social and emotional side effects of cancer
  • Sociology of cancer
  • Cancer-related post-traumatic stress
  • Mental health treatment
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Cognitive impairment and dysfunctions
  • Cancer nursing and supportive care
  • Cancer patient education
  • Family involvement

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
