Special Issue on Electricity and Magnetism

Electromagnetism is the study of the electromagnetic forces between electrically charged particles that is carried by electromagnetic fields composed of electric fields and magnetic fields, and it is responsible for electromagnetic radiation such as light. The field uses the tools of vector calculus for solving static and dynamic properties of electromagnetic fields and addresses special cases of static charge distributions (electrostatics), time-independent current distributions (magnetostatics), and electric and magnetic properties of matter (dielectrics and magnetic media). The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Electricity and Magnetism.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Electricity and Magnetism. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Electric force, field, and potential
  • Gauss's Law for Electric Fields
  • Capacitance and networks of capacitors
  • Resistance and networks of resistors
  • Steady state and time-dependent DC circuit dynamics
  • Magnetic force and field
  • Maxwell's Equations and their plane-wave vacuum solutions
  • Electromagnetic waves
  • Electric and magnetic properties of matter

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Electricity and Magnetism” should be selected during your submission.
