Special Issue on Space Physics

Space Physics, also known as space plasma physics, is the study of plasmas as they occur naturally in the universe. As such, it encompasses a far-ranging number of topics, including the sun, solar wind, planetary magnetospheres and ionospheres, auroras, cosmic rays, and synchrotron radiation. Space physics is a fundamental part of the study of space weather and has important implications not only to understanding the universe, but also to practical everyday life, including the operation of communications and weather satellites. Space physics is unique from other fields of astrophysics which study similar phenomenon, in that space physics utilizes in-situ measurements from high altitude rockets and spacecraft. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of space physics.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore space physics. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Space plasma physics
  • Research on magnetosphere
  • Research on high magnetic field
  • Research on space weather
  • Research on atmospheric structure
  • Research on ionosphere
  • Research on space exploration

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Space Physics” should be chosen during your submission.

Also please note the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

February 19th, 2014

Publication Date

April 2014
