Special Issue on Approximation Theory, Algorithms and Applications

In mathematics, approximation theory is concerned with how functions can best be approximated with simpler functions, and with quantitatively characterizing the errors introduced thereby. Note that what is meant by best and simpler will depend on the application. Approximation algorithm is an algorithm to solve an optimization problem that runs in polynomial time in the length of the input and outputs a solution that is guaranteed to be close to the optimal solution

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Approximation Theory, Algorithms and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Polynomial or rational approximations
  • Approximation of functions
  • Approximation and estimation
  • Numerical analysis and method
  • Multivariate approximation
  • Fourier and harmonic approach
  • Classical approximation
  • Approximation method for integral equations
  • Approximation theory and optimization problems
  • Statistical approximation theory

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Approximation Theory, Algorithms and Applications” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline
