Special Issue on Traffic Engineering

Traffic engineering is a method of optimizing the performance of a telecommunications network by dynamically analyzing, predicting and regulating the behavior of data transmitted over that network. Traffic engineering is also known as teletraffic engineering and traffic management. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academics all over the world to promote, share and discuss various new issues and developments in traffic engineering .

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore traffic engineering. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Intelligent transportation theory and application of information technology
• Optimize road space
• Develop road safety strategies and programs
• Assess and implement traffic collision reduction measures
• Integration of active transportation and transit into road designs
• Road traffic operation management and control
• Rail transportation operation and management
• Transportation infrastructure security risk management
• Urban and regional transportation system planning
• Management of urban and regional transportation systems
• Urban traffic control and intelligent traffic system

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
