Special Issue on Software Quality and Software
Metrics
In the
context of software engineering, software quality refers to two related but
distinct notions: Software functional quality reflects how well it complies with or conforms
to a given design, based on functional requirements or specifications; Software
structural quality refers to how it meets non-functional requirements that
support the delivery of the functional requirements.
A software metric is a standard of measure of a degree to which a software
system or process possesses some property. As software development is a complex
process, with high variance on both methodologies and objectives, it is
difficult to define or measure software qualities and quantities and to
determine a valid and concurrent measurement metric, especially when making
such a prediction prior to the detail design.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Software Quality and Software Metrics. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Objective, reproducible and quantifiable
measurements
-
Software testing and debugging
-
Quality assurance and efficiency
-
Software performance optimization
-
Software size measurement
-
Software implementation
-
Predication for fault and maintainability
-
Cost estimation and
evaluation
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Software Quality and
Software Metrics” should be chosen during your submission.
