Special Issue on COVID-19 and Mental Health Care

In January 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease, COVID-19, to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. WHO stated that there is a high risk of COVID-19 spreading to other countries around the world. In March 2020, WHO made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic. This time of crisis is generating stress throughout the population. Mental health care should be taken into consideration.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on COVID-19 and Mental Health Care. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Psychological impact and behaviors
• Public mental health
• Stress management
• Trauma and mental disorders
• Psychosocial needs and support
• Psychosomatic medicine
• Clinical psychology
• Coping strategy during the pandemic
• Mental health & wellbeing
• Depression/anxiety/stress-related disorders
• Public responses and care

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – COVID-19 and Mental Health Care” should be chosen during your submission.
