Special Issue on Pathogen Research
A pathogen is a microorganism, such as virus, bacterium, prion or fungus, that causes disease in its host. A human pathogen is a pathogen that causes disease in humans. Diseases caused by organisms in humans are known as pathogenic diseases. There were many pathogens in the worlds, and some of them have been responsible for massive numbers of casualties and have had numerous effects on afflicted groups, such as the bacterium Yersinia pestis, which may have caused the Black Plague, HIV, the Variola virus, the Influenza virus and the Malaria protozoa. Many efforts have been made to control these pathogenic diseases. However, not all pathogens are necessarily undesirable to humans. In entomology, pathogens also can be served as natural or introduced biological controls to suppress the pests.
The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Pathogen Research.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring Pathogen Research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Prion
-
-
Pathogenic bacteria
-
Pathogenic fungi
-
Other parasites
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Pathogen Research” should be chosen during your submission.
