Special Issue on Radioactive Pollution and
Safety
Radioactive contaminants are mainly harmful to the human body and other
organisms through radiation. The rays that cause harm are mainly alpha rays,
beta rays and gamma rays. Radioactive waste produced by various sources of
radiation can be divided into radioactive waste gas, radioactive waste liquid
and radioactive solid waste according to its physical form. There is no
effective way to destroy radioactive material in radioactive waste to make its
radioactivity disappeared. Therefore, at present, we only use the
characteristics of radioactive natural attenuation to seal up in a longer time
and reduce the intensity of radiation, so as to achieve the purpose of
eliminating radioactive pollution. The goal of this special issue is to provide
a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote,
share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of radioactive pollution and safety.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring radioactive pollution and
safety. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Radioactive
pollution source
-
Radiation
exposure
-
Radioactive waste
in atomic industry
-
Harm of
radioactive pollution
-
Monitoring and
assessment of radioactive pollution
-
Prevention and control of radioactive pollution
-
Radioactive
waste disposal
-
Nuclear safety
-
Marine
radioactive pollution
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under
your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special
Issue – Radioactive Pollution and Safety”
should be chosen during your submission.
