Special Issue on Integration of Remote Sensing and GIS

Remote sensing is an effective tool for spatial data collection and classification, and GIS is an effective tool for managing and analyzing spatial data. The two are the main components of spatial information, and they are inevitably related. Remote sensing has the ability to collect spatial information dynamically and remotely, and remote sensing images have become the main information source of GIS. In addition, the abundant spatial data obtained by remote sensing relies on the effective management and sharing of GIS. At the same time, it uses the powerful spatial analysis function of GIS to extract deeper thematic information, so as to enhance the utilization value of the image. With the rapid development of the spatial information market, the combination of remote sensing data and GIS becomes more and more closely. The integration of remote sensing and GIS has gradually become a trend and trend of development.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring integration of remote sensing and GIS. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrated technology of remote sensing and GIS
  • Integrated management of remote sensing and GIS data
  • Remote sensing image information classification
  • Urban remote sensing dynamic monitoring
  • Integrated system development
  • Remote sensing satellite data
  • Application of remote sensing and GIS integration

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Integration of Remote Sensing and GIS” should be chosen during your submission.
