Special Issue on Agricultural Biodiversity 

Agricultural biodiversity is a broad term that includes all components of biological diversity of relevance to food and agriculture, and all components of biological diversity that constitute the agricultural ecosystems, also named agro-ecosystems: the variety and variability of animals, plants and micro-organisms, at the genetic, species and ecosystem levels, which are necessary to sustain key functions of the agro-ecosystem, its structure and processes. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of agricultural biodiversity .

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore agricultural biodiversity. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Genetic resources for food and agriculture
• Components of biodiversity that support ecosystem services
• Abiotic factors
• Importance of agricultural biodiversity
• Special nature of agricultural biodiversity
• Socio-economic and cultural dimensions

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Agricultural Biodiversity” should be selected during your submission.
