Special Issue on Hydrological Disasters

Hydrological disasters are disasters caused by sudden, destructive changes in the earth's waters. The main hydrological disasters that seem to occur more often are floods, rainstorms, tsunamis, stagnant water and excessive soil moisture. But other disasters such as tropical cyclones, monsoon s and jökulhlaups are all inter-related. With the intensification of global climate change and urbanization process, rainstorm and flood disasters are characterized by sudden and short foresight. There are many causes lead to floods, and in recent years, human factors also become the flood happened to one of the triggers, including deforestation, reclamation of land from the lake.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring hydrological disasters. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Extreme hydrological events
• Formation mechanism of hydrological disasters
• Hydrological disasters prediction
• Prevention and control of hydrological disasters
• Risk assessment
• Qualitative analysis of hydrological disasters
• The influence of hydrological disasters to the environment

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Hydrological Disasters” should be chosen during your submission.
