Special Issue on Meteorological Disasters
Meteorological
disasters are caused by extreme weather. This special issue
deals with the study of natural hazards of hydro-meteorological origin and the
mitigation of their effects. Among these hazards – the results of natural
processes or phenomena of atmospheric, hydrological or oceanographic nature -
are floods, tropical cyclones, drought and desertification. Due to global
climate change these natural hazards are expected to rise. The goal of this special issue is to
provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to
promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of meteorological disasters.
In this special
issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring meteorological
disasters. In this special issue,
potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Droughts and floods
-
