Special Issue on Symmetry Science

Symmetry refers to a sense of harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance. Symmetry in design refers to the arrangement of the elements on a page that are equal to each other on both sides. There are other types of symmetry as well. You can observe symmetry in unexpected places. You can even find symmetry in circular designs. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of symmetry science.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore symmetry science. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Symmetry breaking phenomena
• Symmetry concepts and applications
• Symmetry and beauty
• Symmetry processing in perception and art  
• Symmetry in mathematics
• Symmetry in science and nature
• Symmetry: theory and applications in vision

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Symmetry Science” should be selected during your submission.
