Special Issue on Reinforcement, Cement and Concrete

Reinforced concrete is one of the most widely used modern building materials. Concrete is an “artificial stone” obtained by mixing cement, sand, and aggregates with water. Fresh concrete can be molded into almost any shape, giving it an inherent advantage over other materials. It became very popular after the invention of Portland cement in the 19th century; however, its limited tension resistance initially prevented its wide use in building construction. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of reinforcement, cement and concrete.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring reinforcement, cement and concretePotential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cement and concrete technology
  • Modification of construction and building materials
  • Properties, modeling and testing of construction and building materials
  • Structural and microstructure
  • The properties of cement and concrete
  • Applications for cement and concrete
  • Biodeterioration of construction and building materials
  • Sustainability of construction and building materials

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Reinforcement, Cement and Concrete” should be selected during your submission.
