Special Issue on GIS Spatial Analysis
The fundamental goal of spatial analysis is to establish an effective
spatial data model to express the spatial and temporal characteristics of
geographic entities, to develop an application-oriented spatial-temporal
analysis and simulation method, to dynamically and globally describe the
spatial distribution relationship between geographic entities and geographic
phenomena in a digital way, so as to reflect the inherent laws and changing
trends of geographic entities. Geographic information system (GIS) integrates
the latest multidisciplinary technologies, such as relational database
management, efficient graphic algorithms, interpolation, zoning and network
analysis, and provides powerful tools for spatial analysis. Spatial analysis
has become one of the core functions of GIS.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring GIS spatial analysis.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Geospatial
statistics
-
Geospatial
data mining
-
GIS spatial
analysis methods
-
Geospatial
data processing and modeling
-
Geographic
grid computing
-
Space
information classification
-
Spatial

-
Spatial
geometric relation analysis
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – GIS Spatial Analysis”
should be chosen during your submission.
