Special Issue on Ecosystem Monitoring and
Assessment
Ecosystem monitoring is an effective way to understand the present
situation and changes of the ecological environment. Most of the natural
ecosystems on the earth have the characteristics of maintaining stability and
keeping balance, which is the result of long-term biological evolution.
However, due to the rapid development of social economy, the acceleration of
industrialization and urbanization, and the predatory exploitation of natural
resources by human beings, these disturbing and coercive factors aggravate the
environmental degradation and ecological degradation. Therefore, how to use
scientific and technological means to monitor and evaluate the development
status, development level and development trend of natural ecosystems in order
to achieve healthy and sustainable development is a hot research topic.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring ecosystem monitoring and assessment.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Ecological monitoring technology
-
Ecological
monitoring index system
-
Ecological
