Special Issue on Grain Science

A grain is a small, hard, dry seed, with or without an attached hull or fruit layer, harvested for human or animal consumption. Dry grains are more durable than other staple foods (like plantains and sweet potatoes), which makes grains well suited to industrial agriculture. Any food made from wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley or another cereal grain is a grain product.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Grain Science. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cereal
  • Legume
  • Wheat
  • Barley
  • Soybean
  • Peanut
  • Oat
  • Flour

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Grain Science” should be selected during your submission.
