Special Issue on Groundwater and Sustainable Development
Groundwater is the water present beneath Earth's surface in soil pore spaces and in the
fractures of rock formations. Groundwater is a key component of the hydrologic
system. Groundwater is not only a vital water resource for human consumption
but there are also intense exchange processes and interconnections with surface
waters, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The sustainable use and protection
of groundwater resources requires intact ecosystems.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Groundwater and Sustainable Development. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Groundwater pollution, treatment and remediation
-
Groundwater quality monitoring and protection
-
Groundwater utilization and purification
-
Water technology and hydro-engineering
-
Groundwater model and simulation
-
Groundwater ecosystem
-
Interactions with surface hydrology and environment
-
Assessment, development and management
-
Groundwater, safety and public health
-
Water policy and hydroeconomics
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Groundwater and
Sustainable Development” should be chosen during your submission.
