Special Issue on Material Processing

Materials processing, the series of operations that transforms industrial materials from a raw-material state into finished parts or products. Industrial materials are defined as those used in the manufacture of “hard” goods, such as more or less durable machines and equipment produced for industry and consumers, as contrasted with disposable “soft” goods, such as chemicals, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, and apparel. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of material processing.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore material processing. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Casting, forming and machining
• Additive processing and joining technologies
• The evolution of material properties under the specific conditions met in manufacturing processes
• Forging, rolling and extrusion
• Compaction and sintering
• Applications for material processing

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
