Special Issue on Chromatographic Separations

Chromatography is the collective term for a set of laboratory techniques for the separation of mixtures. The mixture is dissolved in a fluid called the mobile phase, which carries it through a structure holding another material called the stationary phase. The various constituents of the mixture travel at different speeds, causing them to separate. The separation is based on differential partitioning between the mobile and stationary phases. Subtle differences in a compound's partition coefficient result in differential retention on the stationary phase and thus changing the separation. Chromatography may be preparative or analytical. The purpose of preparative chromatography is to separate the components of a mixture for more advanced use (and is thus a form of purification). Analytical chromatography is done normally with smaller amounts of material and is for measuring the relative proportions of analytes in a mixture. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and aca demicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Chromatographic Separations.

In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Chromatographic Separations. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  •  Chromatographic separation
  •  Sample preparation method
  •  Adjust the proportion of mobile phase
  •  Application of chromatography in the separation of the mixture
  •  Optimization of chromatographic separation conditions
  •  Chromatographic quantitative qualitative analysis
  •  Application of chromatographic in food industry
  •  Application of chromatographic in pharmaceutical industry
  •  Application of chromatographic in environmental monitoring

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors' Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue Chromatographic Separations” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

September 3rd, 2013

Publication Date

November 2013
