Special Issue on Extreme Weather and Climate

Typically, climate change is described in terms of average changes in temperature or precipitation, but most of the social and economic costs associated with climate change will result from shifts in the frequency and severity of extreme events. Some extreme weather and climate events have increased in recent decades, and new and stronger evidence confirms that some of these increases are related to human activities. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of extreme weather and climate.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring extreme weather and climate. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • The impacts of global warming
  • Extreme weather patterns
  • Extreme weather and climate change
  • Global environmental change
  • The weather disaster
  • Heat waves and droughts
  • Extreme weather and human health

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Extreme Weather and Climate” should be selected during your submission.
