Special Issue on Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a new
technique for the treatment of tumor diseases in modern medical treatment. This
is a therapeutic technique that uses a specific red light to produce a reaction
between photosensitizer and tumor tissue cells, leading to tumor cell necrosis.
It is used clinically to treat a wide range of medical conditions, including
wet age-related macular degeneration, psoriasis, and has shown some efficacy in
anti-viral treatments.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
