Special Issue on Fractal Theory Research

The so-called fractal, simply speaking, means that the system has "self similarity" and "fractal dimension"". With strict self similarity form called regular fractal, but the self similarity of fractal only in statistical sence is called random fractal. Generally, the fractal dimension corresponds to the complexity and irregularity of fractal or space filling degree. The fractal dimension reflects the openness of the aggregate structure. Fractal is a spatiotemporal ordered structure formed by self-organization in nonlinear systems. The fractal concept is becoming more and more widely used in the formation of the irregular structure and the complex graphics involved in the production practice and the scientific phenomenon.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring fractal theory research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fractal theory and image processing
  • Fractal theory and medicine
  • Fractal theory and geology
  • Fractal theory and finance
  • Fractal geometry
  • Fractal informatics
  • Fractal model
  • Multifractal analysis

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Fractal Theory Research” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline
