Special Issue on Viruses and Diseases

Viruses are the small infectious agents replicating only inside the living cells of other organisms. They can infect all types of life forms. When viruses invade human cells, the human immune system usually can generate antibodies which will recognize the viruses and destroy them. Sometimes viruses and human immune system can establish a balance, while when the human immune system is weak due to various reasons, the viruses can break the balance and cause diseases. Lots of diseases are caused by viruses including AIDS, SARS, Hepatitis, Influenza, etc.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Viruses and Diseases. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Diseases caused by viruses (AIDS, SARS, Influenza, etc.)
  • Common viruses and infections
  • DNA virus and RNA virus
  • Pathogenesis of viral diseases
  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • Clinical characteristics

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
