Special Issue on Conducting Polymers

Polymers have the advantage that they are so much more easily to be processed than metals for example. One can very easily cover large surfaces with a spin-coated polymer solution. Most plastics can be deformed reversibly and they also do not break easily, which is not true for metals. During the past years, a variety of different conducting polymers have been developed. They have received significant attention from such diverse areas of interest as synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry, solid-state physics, materials science, polymer science, electronics, and electrical engineering.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring conducting polymers. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Conductive polymer
  • Conducting polymer in sensor design
  • Conducting polymer aerogels
  • Coating of conducting polymers
  • Properties and fabrication
  • Electropolymerization
  • Applications

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Conducting Polymers” should be selected during your submission.
