Special Issue on

Numerical and Mathematical Modeling of Flow and Transport

Modeling of flow and transport is an essential component of many scientific and engineering applications, such as petroleum exploration and reservoir, subsurface hydrology, contaminant remediation, carbon sequestration and nuclear waste storage. Accurate mathematical and numerical simulation of flow and transport remains a challenging topic from many aspects of physical modeling, numerical analysis, and scientific computation.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring numerical and mathematical modeling of flow and transport. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Modeling, analysis and simulation of flow and transport
• Fluid flow and transport in porous media
• Multiphase multicomponent compositional flow
• High performance computing for multiphase flows
• Upscaling and homogenization
• Coupled models and domain decomposition in geosciences
• Environmental, technical and biomedical applications

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Numerical and Mathematical Modeling of Flow and Transport” should be selected during your submission.
